Child Rescue Maps Print E-mail
Tuesday, 16 June 2009

What if federal authorities knew the locations of hundreds of thousands of criminals, trafficking in movies and photos of children being tortured and raped? What if they could locate these child victims? Would our government take action against a massive domestic terrorism emergency, aimed directly at our children?

Our government does know... and years of federal inaction in the face of this national emergency is one of the most under-reported scandals in America. The map below was produced by law enforcement agents tracking child pornography traffic. Each red dot is a cluster of computers identified trafficking in the most brutal forms of child sexual abuse images. Conservative estimates indicate that one in every three of the suspects shown here has local child victims.

Congress has seen these maps -- in numerous hearings since 2007. The Justice Department has seen these maps -- and knows how to locate these predators and children. Yet official inaction remains a national shame.
