Stronger Penalties Print E-mail

It's time we make the penalties fit the crime.

campaigns-circle-of-trust_thumb Bill Number: TBA

Brief Description:  Strengthens the current federal penalties pertaining to child pornography and the sexual abuse of children.

Details:

In this day and age, the sexual exploitation of children knows no borders. This particular form of child abuse unfortunately crosses state lines and covers all jurisdictions. Although some laws address this sordid topic, the breadth and weight of each law can vary, resulting in safe havens for criminals in certain areas.

Why should heinous crimes against children be considered less monstrous in any one community versus another?

PROTECT is currently working in Washington, DC to strengthen federal law regarding the production of child pornography and the possession of child pornography. Following that success, PROTECT will push individual states to rise to this new standard.

We will keep you updated on this campaign's progress and how you can help. For now, you can help by signing the Child Rescue Petition and asking your friends and family to do the same. Thank you for your support.
