Chief Rick Cornelius (right) started his law enforcement career in 1990. In 1992 Chief Cornelius was hired by the Oneida Police Department and did patrol for a few years. Chief Cornelius then became a DARE Officer. He held this position for 5 years and was then promoted to Sergeant. In June of 2003 he was selected as Oneida's new police chief.
Chief Cornelius grew up in Kaukauna, WI. He was mentored by both the fire department and police department. Chief Cornelius was in high school when he decided to become a cop. Chief Cornelius enjoys spending time with his family. Wife- Bridget, Daughter- Presley, Son- Payton. He also enjoys playing golf and traveling.
By helping with PROTECT it is Chief Cornelius' way of giving back to the community, and making a difference in a child's life. Chief Cornelius is also a member of PROTECT's National Advisory Board.
