There are many on the front lines protecting children. Our deep respect goes out to the men and women in law enforcement who make child protection a serious, valued part of their lives, their jobs and their careers. These professionals go into harm's way to keep abused children safe, promote professional training in their fields, and encourage their colleagues in law enforcement to become heroes for kids.
Thanks to the leadership of one of those heroes—Commander Mike McNamara (inset photo)—the Park Forest, Illinois Police Department now becomes the second police department in the U.S. to carry the PROTECT logo on their patrol cars (joining the
Oneida Nation of Wisconsin). Park Forest detective Brian Rzyski is shown above displaying PROTECT's shield on his patrol car. We're proud to welcome them, and we know they're proud to show the world that vulnerable children have powerful friends around to protect them.
