A volunteer youth leader at at Kenai Bible Church, while under investigation for possessing child pornography, has been arrested for sexually molesting a young boy.

The Anchorage Daily News reports that a 46-year-old man was arrested for 2nd degree sexual assault of a minor.  The investigation into reported child porn movies on his computer revealed evidence that he had assaulted the boy.

Investigators were led to the man's child pornography collection in January, when a PA state trooper saw clips on a website.  Further investigation by the ICAC unit turned up enough evidence to get a federal warrant to search his home.

Detective Sgt. Ron Tidler said, "Right away, we found the child porn on the computer at his house. He's the youth leader at a local church and has been allowed to have two boys stay at his house overnight, unsupervised.  To date, only one of the children interviewd has made a formal accusation.

The church's pastor said, "The one allegation that was made was not anything that occurred at the church... it was on his own time and away from the church."
