Idaho prosecutors say they might revise murder charges against a 14-year old if it turns out he was protecting himself or his younger siblings from their father.

Zachary Neagle, an eighth-grader, is being charged with the murder of his father, Jason Neagle, 33. The boy reportedly sent his younger siblings out of the room and then fired a single shot with a rifle as the man slept on the couch.

Now law enforcement says there may be evidence the Neagle children were being abused. According to the Idaho Press, an uncle of the boy "told police he saw child pornography on a computer in the home depicting children as young as 8 or 9 engaged in 'daddy-and-daughter' and 'brother and sister' sexual scenarios." Police removed computers from the home.

Canyon County prosecutor John Bujak says that if evidence of abuse proves true "he will revisit and amend the first-degree murder charge filed against the 14-year-old son," reports the Idaho Press-Tribune.
