Report: Illinois kids get the shaft from court system Print E-mail
Sunday, 04 November 2007 19:00

Children are likely to meet their appointed lawyers the day of court, have their cases plea-bargained without any investigation of the facts and suffer from general lax and ineffective representation.

The study, Illinois: An Assessment of Access to Counsel & Quality of Representation in Delinquency Proceedings, can be found here.
