Probation, custody of kids for mother-predator Print E-mail
Sunday, 15 June 2008 19:00

A Maryland mother given probation for pressuring her 16-year old daughter into prostitution has regained custody of another daughter, age 8, and "hopes to have her 13-year old daughter living with her again by September," reports the Baltimore Sun.

The 16-year old "was willing to testify against her mother at trial" reports the paper, but Assistant State's Attorney Frank J. Ragione offered the 34-year old woman a sweetheart plea bargain that let her off without a trial. The bargain was approved by Judge William C. Mulford II. The victim is now in Texas with grandparents, receiving psychiatric treatment.
