Transparency in Virginia

Hats off to Charlottesville Mayor Dave Norris and Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo for bringing transparency to sex crimes in their town. The map shows the location of sex crimes in Charlottesville in the last year alone, including 32 Pornography/Obscene Material cases and 31 Forcible Rape cases.

We hope that The Virginia Child Protection Accountability System maps the data required by PROTECT's Sunshine bill that passed this year, in an effort to make the data easily understood by the public.
