"I don't think he's getting a slap on the hand," said the mother of a five-year old sexual assault victim told Wisconsin judge Elliott Levine. "I think he's gettting a pat on the back..."
But the plea didn't stop Levine from sentencing Eric Kline, 37, to time served in jail and probation.
The Lacrosse Tribune reports that a pre-sentencing report recommended Kline get six to eight years in prison.
Kline's wife Melinda told the court he is a "caring father and husband," says the paper.
"Eric is a good guy... I know we need to work with him."
