A  22 year-old mother was ordered to pay $483 for misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and two counts of child neglect after burning her 3-year old, reports the  Wisconsin Rapids Tribune.

Two people babysitting a 3 year-old boy noticed burn marks on his chest, leg and face.  The boy said it was what his mother did to him when he was “naughty.” At the hospital, the young boy told officers that his mother would hurt him for telling and became scared and upset. Those charges were reduced from a felony charge of child abuse by Wood County Circuit Court Judge Greg Potter.
