Every year in Virginia, thousands of children are victimized, the majority of them by people in their daily circle of trust. Those children are expected to face their abusers in what are stress inducing and re-traumatizing adversarial conditions in a court of law.
This year, PROTECT is proud to champion legislation alongside Senator Ryan McDougle and Delegate Rob Bell to allow witnesses in court proceedings the aid of a trained and licensed assistance dog.
